Tips From My Great Grandma

So I just ran across a book I inherited from my great grandparents. It's "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by James F. Balch, M.D. and Phyllis A. Balch, C.N.C I was just thumbing through it to find a subject for another blog topic. Instead, I ran across 2 pieces of paper and a napkin. The paper has my great grandma's tiny cursive handwriting on it. The napkin, she must've used it when eating her fig newtons, it has a little blot of something like how she used to dab the corners of her mouth when eating. I know this has no sentimental value to anyone else, but I find it rather sweet, and I'm actually teary-eyed while writing this. I can picture her sitting in her chair with her pen and the book, writing shakily from our genetic shaking as we age. It wasn't much, and it wasn't problematic, but it was memorable. Just for fun, I'm going to copy down some of what she had jotted down at least 20 years ago.

There are a bunch of other things written down, mainly as reference for a page she was reading. It's really neat to see. I guess I'm not really paying too much attention to the remedies as I normally do, but I'm picturing her sitting there with her pen in hand and finding things that will cure her or my great grandpa. I just had to make a post about this. It is very special to me, so I thought someone else out there might find it interesting. I will use this post if I find some amazing remedies that she highlighted. Here are the pictures i took of the papers and the book.
