Cream Cheese Wontons seemed like such a daunting task....until we realized how SIMPLE they are!
1 package wonton wraps (generally 48 per pack)
16oz cream cheese (plain or whatever flavor you enjoy, for these we did half chive/onion, and half garden vegetable)
1 egg white
oil to fry (I used an 8" cast iron skillet with about 1/4" of oil)
Use a spoon to put about a Tbsp of cream cheese in the wrap, keep it in the middle.
Cover two edges with egg white to help keep them sealed.
Fold into triangle and press edges closed to prevent "oozing" (the culinary term haha)
Drop into hot oil for 15 seconds or until browned, turn and let sizzle 15 more seconds. It shouldn't take that long even if your oil is at the right temperature.
Remove from oil, drain, and serve!
