With Christmas right around the corner, gifts might be a large focus of your attention. With money tight for most of us, homemade gifts are a great way to say "I may not have much, but I'm thinking of you." Here is one recipe (pictured on the far left jar, above) that is sure to make a thoughtful gift.
2 C. Brown sugar
1 C white sugar
1/4 C Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 C Oil (I used vegetable, you can use coconut, almond, or anything else you like)
1 1/2 tsp coconut extract (I used coconut, you can use a few drops of essential oil too)
Put the brown and white sugar in a bowl, mix with a fork until there are no lumps.
Add the other ingredients and mix.
Keep some in your shower for a nice revitalizing scrub for your skin, especially in the dry winter.
This recipe makes 3 8oz jelly jars. I hot-glued a Christmas ribbon around the rim and then formed a bow out of another color ribbon.
Have fun with it!
